Easy to make Peanut Butter

Peanut butter is one of the top pre-workout snacks. It is loaded with numerous health benefits including lowering the risk of heart disease and diabetes. Snacking on peanut butter is a great way to curb hunger pangs especially if you wanna shed a few kilos. Today, supermarkets are loaded with almost everything and peanut butter is no exception. But, who knows what goes into the making ? Wouldn’t it be great if can we make our own peanut butter at home? You just need 3 ingredients and a blender/food processor.

Required Ingredients:

  • Roasted unsalted peanuts-1 cup(1 cup=250 ml)
  • Jaggery-2 to 3 tbsp
  • Oil(peanut/vegetable)-2 tbsp

Method:

Add 1 cup of roasted unsalted peanuts in a mixie jar/blender/processor. Grind it into a fine powder.

Now, add 2 to 3 tbsp of jaggery and 1 tbsp of oil and blend nicely.

Add a tbsp of oil again and keep grinding until you get a smooth butter of desired consistency.

Transfer it into an airtight container and store at room temperature. It stays good for upto a week or two.

For an extended shelf life, refrigerate it and use when needed.

Notes:

  • Alter the amount of jaggery according to your liking.
